## NHTSA's summary

This communication is to inform you of Update 48K4. On Audi vehicles with electromechanical power steering manufactured within a specific period, an irregularity detected by the diagnosis function can result in an implausible status immediately after the engine is started. This causes the warning lamp for the electromechanical power steering to light up. There is no loss of steering functionality. Update the power steering control module \(J500\) software.
