Service bulletin AOS-14-14

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Supersedes AOS-14-11: Windows® XP references deleted. The initial installation of ODIS Service on VAS diagnostic devices is broken down into 3 separate installation instruction "Phases". Phases 1 through 3 must be performed on one device at a time to completion prior to using ODIS Service. All Phase instructions are published separately on ServiceNet. The device preparation and ODIS Service software license request processes are described in this document. If an installed license is corrupted, or the original or backup copy of the license file is misplaced, use these instructions to request and download a replacement license. In these cases, identify and locate the applicable section from the Table of Contents. Completion of these Phase 1 instructions on new devices is prerequisite to performing ODIS Service Installation Phase 2 - Software Installation & Configuration. The navigation and prompt screenshots described and illustrated in this document apply to eligible VAS diagnostic devices with Windows 7.
