Service bulletin AVT-13-25
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Supersedes AVT-13-16 with additional information. If more than one VAS diagnostic device is connected to the dealership network, each device must be assigned a different computer name. This applies to both brand new and refurbished VAS diagnostic devices that are placed into service alongside existing devices. While various computer naming methods may be used, the following procedure suggests a consistent method to ?build?, set and subsequently verify unique computer names using market, dealership and device-specific information. The information is specific to VAS 6150A/B/C diagnostic laptops and VAS 6160/A diagnostic tablet devices ONLY. If a new or revised computer name is required for a VAS 5051B diagnostic console, VAS 5052A diagnostic tablet or VAS 6150 laptop device, use the last 5 numbers of the equipment number or serial number located on the back of the device. If these are not legible, chose a combination of 5 numbers for the build sequence that are different from all other devices connected to the dealership network. Please discard any printed copies of this document after use. Revised versions may be issued at any time. Always check ServiceNet for the latest version.
The document
The document is the manufacturer's. This site does not hold it. NHTSA files a document at one of these two addresses; we have not asked NHTSA which.
