# Service bulletin A011328 2033224\-

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10121319
- Published by NHTSA: 2017\-10\-31
- Manufacturer's number: A011328 2033224\-
- Manufacturer's date: 2013\-09\-12
- NHTSA component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

## NHTSA's summary

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13\-10 dated June 24, 2013. If a model year 2014 Q5 TDI, A6 TDI, A7 TDI, or A8L TDI clean diesel \(engine code CPNA or CPNB\) requires diagnosis or repair of the engine, diesel fuel delivery, exhaust after\-treatment \(SCR/AdBlue and emissions\) systems, or transmission, a Repair Authorization is necessary prior to repair. This also applies to any messages related to AdBlue shown in the DIS. These procedures are mandatory until further notice. Routine maintenance, PDI, and repair of other systems do not require prior authorization or a TAC ticket. Any repairs related to the engine, diesel fuel delivery, exhaust after\-treatment \(SCR/AdBlue or emissions\) systems, or transmission completed without Repair Authorization via a Technical Assistance Center \(TAC\) contact will not be reimbursed. In an effort to gain information on the systems listed above, we are asking that you contact TAC before replacing any parts. This will assist us in diagnosing any potential issues.

The fault occurs with ATF temperature below 60° C. Check for this temperature range in the extended environmental conditions of the diagnosis protocol. This TSB only applies if the ATF level is correct and there are no leaks.
- [37 13 09 2028715](/bulletins/10210652.md), 2022-05-02, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:GEARS. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
