Service bulletin VWR-14-05

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Warranty Information (Hold Status Explanation for TDI High Pressure Fuel Pump Return): This document informs that VW is transitioning to a new HPFP collection facility. During this time it will be shown that all HPFP requests are in ?Hold? status in the Warranty Parts Shipping Portal (WPSP). The ?Hold? status is used to temporarily delay the shipping of HPFPs. No negative action will be taken on requested HPFP claims while in ?Hold? status and an additional 14 days will be given to ship the HPFP once shipping resumes. This document also informs what dealers should do during this transition period.
