# Service bulletin A971545 2023283\-

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 10\-02 dated April 23, 2010. A defective light bulb warning appears in the instrument cluster, but the side marker lights are functioning normally and DTCs are stored in the vehicle electrical system control module after the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, is replaced. Due to a change in the software, an additional adaptation must be performed when the vehicle electrical system control module is replaced.

- [A171452 2038119\-](/bulletins/10124817.md), 2017-12-05, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14\-51 dated August 18, 2014. The message ?Oil minimum warning, add one quart of oil? appears in the instrument cluster, but the oil level is above the minimum level \(when measured with special tool T40178\). There are no DTCs related to oil level stored in the ECM memory. The oil level sensor is defective.
- [A171568 2028440\-](/bulletins/10123653.md), 2017-11-17, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14\-49 dated April 3, 2014. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range \(?distance to empty?\) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 \(address word 17\). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on\-board computer.
