Service bulletin Mi16-28

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Maintenance information explains that on vehicles equipped with Ramco rear-view mirrors in winter conditions, ice may accumulate in the gap between the glass bottom edge and shell. The ice may impede mirror adjustment. Installing a drip edge will prevent ice accumulation permanently by diverting water outwards. The proposed drip edge may only be installed on mirrors having a flat glass in the lower section of the mirror.
