- [SSM 50375](/bulletins/10205694.md), 2021-12-27, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM\(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM\); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2016\-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may exhibit a condition where the navigation voice prompts are inoperative after a SYNC map update. This may be due to an incomplete installation of the SYNC map software. If possible, using the original USB that installed the update, reperform the update and verify the navigation voice prompts have returned. Multiple reboots are expected when this update is being performed. Verify the Installation Is Complete message displays in the touch screen. If the original USB is not available, go to website https://syncnavigation.com/ford/home or https://syncnavigation.com/lincoln/home to download the files once more for the affected vehicle. For further map update support, reference the FAQ section on these websites.
- [SSM 50250](/bulletins/10203840.md), 2021-12-07, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SEATS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2017 MKZ and Fusion vehicles equipped with memory seats and built on or before 03\-Jun\-2016 may exhibit a discharged battery or a battery drain condition. Before performing normal diagnostics, reprogram the driver door module \(DDM\) to the latest calibration using the Integrated Diagnostic System \(IDS\). Use causal part 14B291 and applicable labor operations from Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
- [SSM 49330](/bulletins/10183391.md), 2020-12-04, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT. Some 2016\-2018 Edge vehicles may exhibit an intermittently inoperative turn signal tick\-tock sound from the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) when the turn signal is active. This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, reprogram the IPC using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming use causal part 10849 Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
- [TSB 20\-2278](/bulletins/10181915.md), 2020-11-05, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN. Some 2013\-2018 F\-150 vehicles equipped with Electronic Shift On\-The\-Fly \(ESOF\) 4\-wheel drive \(4WD\) may exhibit an intermittent grinding noise while driving in 2\-wheel drive \(2WD\) mode most commonly on acceleration. This may be due to a loss of vacuum to the integrated wheel end \(IWE\) actuators and/or wear of the IWE components. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the transfer case control module \(TCCM\) and replace any worn vacuum and/or IWE components.
- [20B27](/bulletins/10181985.md), 2020-11-04, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. In affected vehicles, the transmission torque converter may overheat in certain driving conditions. If the torque converter overheats it can lead to adverse NVH, rough idle, and low performance concerns. Ultimately this will require internal transmission repairs to resolve the concern. Ford Motor Company has developed and update to the Powertrain Control Module software that helps protect the transmission torque converter from overheating when exposed to certain driving styles.
- [TSB 20\-2255](/bulletins/10179117.md), 2020-09-02, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE.
