Service bulletin PUB161103SB

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

The purpose of this Product Upgrade service bulletin is to inform REV dealers of the process to inspect for the presence of an air inlet screen and to remove the rubber portion of a drain valve (?duck bill?) on certain model year 2016-2017 American Coach products. On the affected motorhomes, the engine?s air intake plenum (?duck bill?) drain valve may become clogged with debris. If the engine is started prior to removal of the ?duck bill?, water may enter the engine and cause extensive engine damage, and may render the engine inoperable.
