Service bulletin TIBU721900

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Certain CT660 Trucks with Manual Transmissions Have Been Disengaging Out of Select Gears - Certain CT660 trucks with manual transmissions have been popping out of select gears. The popping out of gear is caused by the shift tower experiencing interference with the lower shift boot. This problem affects trucks that were built before April 30th, 2013. In order to prevent interference between the shift tower and the lower shifter boot, trim the lower shifter boot using scissors or a knife to make a hole that is three inch in diameter, centered on the shifter bar when the shifter bar is in the neutral position.
