# Service bulletin A17\-073

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Servicenews article \- When you shift to Park and shut off the engine, does the ignition stay in ON or ACCESSORY? A misadjusted shift cable could be the culprit. If the cable isn?t adjusted right, it puts pressure on the shift lever, keeping the park pin switch from opening. The power control unit needs the park pin switch position input to turn the ignition to OFF.
