NHTSA's summary
TT-14-015 2011MY - 2014MY DEF PUMP BACKFLOW CONNECTOR CHANGE. The backflow connector style on the DEF pumps (S17H0-E0012) and newer has changed. Existing service stock of DEF pumps may have the old style backflow connector installed on them. Before a new DEF pump is installed in a vehicle, it will be necessary to verify the DEF pump part number, and replace the backflow connector if the old style backflow connector is installed.
