Service bulletin 122-G9V4D-06

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Concerns: Trailer hitch control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Due to a software error, there is a possibility that the trailer hitch control unit on the affected vehicles will not switch to energy-saving mode at times after the ignition is switched off. This can result in an increased closed-circuit current load and can thus cause the vehicle battery to become discharged.
