Service bulletin 122-P8V4Z-05

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Concerns: Relay for radiator fan Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the switching contacts of the relay for the radiator fan can stick temporarily on the affected vehicles. This can cause all four radiator fans to come on at times although the fans were not activated by the engine control's thermal management system.

The document is the manufacturer's. This site does not hold it. NHTSA files a document at one of these two addresses; we have not asked NHTSA which.

Recalls for the same vehicles and component
15V3350002015-06-01. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

A recall listed here may apply to some of the same vehicles. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
122-A2N2U-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. Concerns: Wire harness for rear left radiator fan Information: There is a possibility that the electric wire harness for the left rear radiator fan in the engine compartment is touching a heat guide plate made of carbon fiber on the affected vehicles. If the wire harness is touching, relative movements can cause visible damage to the wire harness or the insulation on individual lines of the wire harness. Progressive damage to the wire harness can cause the radiator fan to stop working and an electric shunt circuit to the low-resistance heat guide plate cannot be ruled out. This electric shunt circuit can cause the vehicle to go on fire even a long time after stopping the vehicle.
