# Service bulletin FS\-2017\-05

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

This field service bulletin is instructing vehicle owners and aftermarket part purchasers to remove the "Duck Bill" valves in the rear run box to prevent water intrapment, which can contribute to corrosion of some components. Owners are asked to permanently remove the duck bill valves from the rear run box in each bus \(and units in parts inventory\) per the included instructions.
