## NHTSA's summary

Some Reman CAT Cleaned DPFs have only 10 digits in the serial number which doesn't allow entry of the DPF serial number into Caterpillar Electronic Technician \(ET\) to record a DPF change. Reman CAT Cleaned DPFs are missing the first 4 digits of the serial number. These 4 digits relate to the DPF model number. Incorrect DPF serial numbers does not allow entry into CAT ET.
