NHTSA's summary

This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician that if OnStar is unable to configure the vehicle after the OnStar 15-08-44-001 upgrade and Onstar receives a 118 error code when attempting to configure the vehicle. Dealers should receive a sheet with the kit that provides steps to assist with handling this error. Dealer will follow one of the listed steps to resolve the issue. If there are still configuration issues, please contact the OnStar Technical Assistance Centre for assistance.

PI1152	2021-04-28. Service bulletin. HVAC Stuck in Defrost Mode, DTCs B0248, B0268 or B0408 Set Condition/Concern Some customers may comment that the HVAC system is stuck in the defrost mode. When checking the vehicle for DTCs, the HVAC control module may report B0248, B0268 or B0408 set as current. Once the DTC(s) are cleared, the air delivery mode can be changed. This condition may be due to an actuator over-traveling or intermittently binding, causing the DTC(s) to set.
DOR-G9Z8V-12	2019-12-09. Service bulletin. This SKU is a Fuel Pump Driver Module. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory to inspect the software. The software may have a fault where the readiness monitors are stuck in the not-ready or incomplete position. The readiness monitors will not cause performance or emissions issues but will prevent the emissions scanning tools from confirming the module is performing correctly, causing the vehicle to fail state required emissions tests.
