This Preliminary information communication advises the technician that the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierras equipped with the 6.6L diesel engine Regular Production Option Code L5P the following fuel system part numbers 12678990, 12678991, 12678992, 12678993, 12647909, and 55495697 will be placed on a parts restriction through the General Motors Product Quality Center. Dealer will need to contact General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further assistance.
