NHTSA's summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have may an intermittent Service Traction/Stability, ABS indicator or Service All wheel Drive message on the Driver Information Center. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes U0125 00 U0074 00 U0073 and or C0045 C0050 symptom 06. Technician will need to inspect the X411 connecter for a wire break inside the wire harness. Also inspect the wire harness insulation within 1 inch of the X411 before and after connecter. Repair any damaged wiring to correct the concern.

Technicians may find DTC P0641 or various others set. Not all of the effects listed may be experienced. However, the different effects and driver notifications may be caused by one of the wires in the ECM harness being chafed or cut. Due to the cause of the condition, and the positions of the wires in the harness, it is unlikely that more than one circuit will be affected by the condition. This condition may be caused by the ECM wiring harness rubbing on the ECM bracket. The harness may have chafing or damage to the wires. Contact with the edge of the bracket may result in a rub-through of the wires within that harness. |
