## NHTSA's summary

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have the Air Conditioning only blows warm air or gets slightly cooler during acceleration. Technician should inspect for metal contamination in the Air Conditioning system by removing the plug from the bottom of the receiver drier, remove the filter assembly and check for debris. Also remove the thermal expansion valve and check for debris or contamination. Technician should flush the Air Conditioning system if contamination is found. Technician should also ensure that the Heater\-Vent\-Air Conditioning calibrations are up to date in the Body Control Module.
