Service bulletin PIP5090D
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| G-179000 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. 13387 - Service Update. Dealers are to perform a drive audit. A small number of engines may develop a crankshaft bearing noise condition at low mileage. The drive audit must be completed before vehicle delivery (and in addition to normal pre-delivery inspection activities) to identify vehicles with the condition. If the condition is found, dealers are to replace the engine. |
| G-169470 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. 12313 - Special Coverage. The chrome layer on the balance chain pins may wear, allowing the chain to stretch. This would cause an engine noise, and if left untreated, could cause the chain to break, leading to engine damage. In addition, the fuel pump plunger shaft seal may wear and allow fuel to leak into the crankcase, setting P0172 DTC, and illuminating the Malfunction Indicator Light. This can cause engine run-on and/or the engine to run rough. If this condition occurs within the stated terms, dealers will replace the engine balance chain and fuel pump. |
