Service bulletin C1919

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This In-Shop calibration campaign is being issued to address maintenance lamp fault code 5383 for Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) ash load on certain X15 CM2350 X114B/X116B engines. Certified repair locations are authorized to recalibrate the Engine Control Module (ECM) anytime the unit is in the shop for maintenance or repairs with certain restrictions on reimbursement. Customers operating engines that have not updated the ECM calibation may experience a maintenance lamp due to fault code 5383 for DPF Ash load much earlier than needed.
