# Service bulletin 09\-031\-13\-2843

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Some vehicles may experience one or more of the following symptoms in connection with a malfunction related to the C\-15 connector. ?The driver side power window does not operate.?The door does not open when using the advanced keyless system.?The warning lamp stays ON even after the ignition switch is turned OFF.The symptoms listed above may be caused by corrosion of the C\-15 connector terminals due to water intrusion through the front door. In low ambient temperatures, the door harness hardens. If the door is fully opened, it may create a gap between the door and the door harness grommet, which may allow water to enter through the gap.

- [SA\-039\-23a](/bulletins/10243569.md), 2023-10-05, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building or Low\-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection.
- [SA\-040\-21](/bulletins/10198691.md), 2021-07-01, Service bulletin: VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building or Low\-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection.
- [MT\-003\-21](/bulletins/10198574.md), 2021-06-29, Service bulletin: VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building. This may be caused by the suns reflection. If a building creates enough of a curve with a series of flat windows, which act like mirrors, the reflections all converge at one point, focusing and concentrating the light onto the street below.
- [09\-036\-18\-3526](/bulletins/10145253.md), 2018-10-09, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ENGINE; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience one or more of the following symptoms in connection with a malfunction related to the C\-15 connector. The driver side power window does not operate. The door does not open when using the advanced keyless system. The warning lamp stays ON even after the ignition switch is turned OFF. DTC B10E7:17 \(START STOP UNIT, IG1 Relay Circuit Malfunction\) and DTCs related to communication errors may be stored in PCM memory. Engine no start due to battery discharge. The symptoms listed above may be caused by corrosion of the C\-15 connector terminals due to water intrusion through the front door. In low ambient temperatures, the door harness hardens. If the door is fully opened, it may create a gap between the door and the door harness grommet, which may allow water to enter through the gap.
- [09\-005\-14\-2875](/bulletins/10098005.md), 2017-04-27, Service bulletin: LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. SOME VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS IN CONNECTION WITH A MALFUNCTION RELATED TO THE C\-15 CONNECTOR. • THE DRIVER SIDE POWER WINDOW DOES NOT OPERATE. • THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN WHEN USING THE ADVANCED KEYLESS SYSTEM. • THE WARNING LAMP STAYS ON EVEN AFTER THE IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF.THE SYMPTOMS LISTED ABOVE MAY BE CAUSED BY CORROSION OF THE C\-15 CONNECTOR TERMINALS DUE TO WATER INTRUSION THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR. IN LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURES, THE DOOR HARNESS HARDENS. IF THE DOOR IS FULLY OPENED, IT MAY CREATE A GAP BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE DOOR HARNESS GROMMET, WHICH MAY ALLOW WATER TO ENTER THROUGH THE GAP.MASS PRODUCTION CHANGES: • THE FRONT DOOR HARNESS GROMMET HAS BEEN CHANGED TO IMPROVE SEALING PERFORMANCE. • HOLES INSIDE THE FRONT PILLAR \(WHICH ARE MADE FOR WEIGHT REDUCTION\), HAVE BEEN COVERED TO PREVENT WATER INTRUSION.
