Service bulletin PI 0877
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
On some trucks with the Telematics Gateway (TGW) system, the TGW control unit may not correctly communicate with the vehicle systems after restarting. The behavior associated with this issue will be a high number of MID 140 PSID 239 FMI 12 faults when viewed in tech tool. The faults occur when the TGW control unit fails to properly restart and falls into a restart loop preventing the control unit from communicating with the instrument cluster on the J1587 datalink. This is due to a software issue in the TGW control unit that manages how the unit handles failed restarts.
