Service bulletin TSB170046-040720

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of fan drive belt chirp on International® Trucks and School Buses. Select fan drive belt configurations have a fan drive belt installed that is excessively long causing the belt tensioner to wear-out or have uneven bearing wear. The fan drive belt tensioner should be replaced if malfunction has occurred.
