# Service bulletin T1830B

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

This Temporary Repair Practice \(TRP\) is being issued to address Diesel Oxidation Catalyst \(DOC\) cracked inlet flanges on certain engines. This field will be notified via a Technical Service Bulletin \(TSB160099\) to visually inspect the DOC for soot trails that are correlated with this failure. Once soot is identified, technicians will be instructed to follow this TRP for DOC replacement. This is a revision to a previous communication.
