Service bulletin C1742C

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Emissions Campaign is being issued to recalibrate the Engine Control Module (ECM) of certain ISX12 and ISX15 CM2350 engines. It provides authorization for certified repair locations to recalibrate the ECM installed in vehicles registered in the state of California. The calibration update addresses an issue in which certain on-board diagnostic (OBD) fault codes illuminate the Amber Warning Lamp (AWL) instead of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL). This is an update to a previously submitted communication.
