Service bulletin NTB17-039
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| NTB15013C | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. IMPORTANT: Metal debris and friction material may become trapped in the radiator, cooling hoses, bypass valve or external CVT fluid cooler. This debris can contaminate the newly serviced transmission, control valve or torque converter. In severe cases this debris can block or restrict flow and may cause damage to the newly serviced CVT. SERVICE INFORMATION When a CVT, control valve or torque converter replacement is necessary for one of the applied vehicles, the CVT transmission fluid coolers (radiator based fluid cooler and external auxiliary cooler if present) must be flushed. Please see this bulletin for further details. |
| NTB15014B | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. IF YOU CONFIRM The customer reports a transmission judder (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or vibration). NOTE: A new diagnostic logic has been established to enhance the diagnostic process by storing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) on Applied Vehicles. The new DTCs are: P17F1 (CVT_JUDDER [C/U INSPECTION]) P17F0 (CVT_JUDDER [T/M INSPECTION]) ACTION 1. Refer to page 4, step 6 in the SERVICE PROCEDURE to confirm this bulletin applies to the vehicle you are working on. NOTE:The current TCM Part Numbers in this bulletin have been updated. The vehicle you are working on may require reprogramming per this bulletin again. 2. If this bulletin applies, reprogram the TCM (Transmission Control Module) See this bulletin for further detail. |
| NTB14057A | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE INFORMATION The information in this bulletin is provided to help ensure correct diagnosis and repair of fluid leaks. All fluid leaks, when properly diagnosed, should be repaired (whether under warranty or customer pay) to ensure proper vehicle operation. However, certain normal operating conditions can be misdiagnosed as a leak requiring repair. Unnecessary repair or replacement of parts in connection with incorrectly diagnosed "leaks" can negatively impact customer satisfaction, be time consuming and costly, and if not performed correctly can lead to future repairs. See this bulletin for further detail. |
| NTB15016 | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. INFORMATION If this bulletin applies by checking Service COMM (PC357), and the TCM?s current part number is listed in Table A of this bulletin, then reprogram the TCM. See this bulletin for further detail. |
| NTB13077A | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE INFORMATION Applied vehicles equipped with a CVT have a "cap" that appears to be a fluid level gauge. This "cap" will NOT have a gauge or "dipstick". This is normal. Do NOT replace the "cap" because it is thought to have a "dipstick". The fluid level is not checked from this location. The fluid level for applied vehicles is checked from the oil pan (refer to the appropriate section of the Electronic Service Manual [ESM]). Whenever checking, filling, or topping off a CVT's fluid level of an applied vehicle for any reason, use the procedure outlined in the appropriate section of the ESM. See this bulletin for further detail. |
