Service bulletin BMV170601

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Tech2tech video - When replacing A/C systems, you must add refidgerant oil to maintain system balance. To properly diagnose AWD differential leak, it is always a good idea to trace the leak to the highest point. For example, a loose or damage fluid pressure sensor can appear to be an axle seal leak because the leak can drain down on the axle seal. Please let us know if you would like a copy of the video sent to you on a DVD or thumb drive.
