DEALER MESSAGE \- ON DECEMBER 14, 2016, HONDA RELEASED THE ALPHA VIN DMV\-SOURCED DATA TO DEALERS. AS YOU KNOW, LABORATORY TESTING SHOWS ALPHA VEHICLES MAY HAVE AN INFLATOR RUPTURE RATE AS HIGH AS 50% DURING AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. OUR NEED TO CONNECT WITH THESE CUSTOMERS AND REPAIR THEIR VEHICLES IS URGENT. IN ADDITION TO THE SIGNIFICANT NATIONAL EFFORTS MADE BY AMERICAN HONDA, WE ASK THAT EACH DEALER DEVELOP A PROCESS TO CONTACT THESE HIGH RISK ALPHA CUSTOMERS IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND BEGIN IMMEDIATE PROACTIVE OUTREACH.
