Service bulletin B-BTS-02102016-3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

DEALER MESSAGE - AT THIS TIME, WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU OF THE “MULTI-MODEL AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL TRAINING SERIES,” THAT LAUNCHED LAST JULY. ALTHOUGH THIS TRAINING WAS DEVELOPED TO EXPLAIN THE HISTORY OF THE PREVIOUS AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALLS, IT PROVIDES HELPFUL INFORMATION THAT ALSO APPLIES TO THE NEW AIRBAG RECALL ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK. FOR INSTANCE, IT REINFORCES POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND SHARES BEST PRACTICES FROM DEALERS ACHIEVING STRONG RECALL COMPLETION RATES. THE TRAINING SERIES IS COMPRISED OF EIGHT COURSES THAT CAN BE TAKEN AS SELF-STUDY MODULES OR AS WEBINARS.
