"DESCRIPTION AN ISSUE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF 2015 MODEL YEAR RANGE ROVER SPORT (L494; 3.0L SC V6 ONLY) AND RANGE ROVER (L405; 3.0L SC V6 ONLY) VEHICLES WHERE A FLASHING 'D' IS DISPLAYED IN THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH (TCS) AFTER AN ECO STOP/START EVENT AND/OR A 'GEARBOX FAULT' MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, THE VEHICLE HAS DEFAULTED TO LIMP HOME MODE, AND DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) P2702-07 AND P07DD-07 ARE STORED IN THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM)."

An issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the 'Service Required' message will not appear on the Instrument Cluster (IC) if a vehicle has reached its service point and the engine is started normally by pressing the engine START/STOP button with the brake pedal pressed. Turning on the ignition only, by pressing the engine START/STOP button without the brake pedal pressed, will still allow the 'Service Required' warning message to be displayed. In addition, the latest Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software has introduced a concern relating to the ability to reset the service message indicator. The latest IC software will rectify these concerns.

Situation: After a Service Interval Reset, the Service Interval Indicator (SII) may appear on the Instrument Cluster (IC) for less than one second when no service is required.
