Service bulletin SSM72359

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

"ISSUE: WHEN ATTEMPTING TO COMPLETE THE MODULE PROGRAMMING OF THE KEYLESS VEHICLE MODULE (KVM) SDD LISTS ""NO SOFTWARE UPDATE REQUIRED"" IN THE STATUS OF THE SOFTWARE PART CONFIRMATION SCREEN. CAUSE: WHEN SDD IS USED TO UPDATE THE KVM FOR P068 AND THE KVM HAS A PREFIX OF “FK72” THEN THE SOFTWARE REQUIRED TO UPDATE THE KVM IS NOT AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE P068 SUCCESSFULLY."

Listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned: the document says which.

A recall listed here may apply to some of the same vehicles. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle.
