"ISSUE: A CUSTOMER MAY REPORT A CONCERN THAT THE BATTERY WARNING LAMP IS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PACK AND A CHARGING SYSTEM FAULT DISPLAYED AT THE MESSAGE CENTRE. ON INVESTIGATION USING SYMPTOM DRIVEN DIAGNOSTICS \(SDD\) THE FAULT CODE U0447\-00 MAY BE STORED IN THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. CAUSE: LOSS OF COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE GATEWAY MODULE. A PERMANENT SOFTWARE SOLUTION IS CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT, HOWEVER IN THE INTERIM; PLEASE CARRY OUT THE STEPS BELOW."
