"TECHLINE SUMMARY ARTICLE - EDITOR’S NOTE: THIS ARTICLE REPLACES THE ONE POSTED IN AUGUST 2015 TO EXTEND THAT ARTICLE’S SHELF LIFE. THE ISSUES COVERED ARE STILL BEING ADDRESSED. DOES THE FRONT SEAT-BACK CREAK OR SQUEAK WHEN YOU MOVE AROUND IN THE SEAT OR GET IN OR OUT OF THE VEHICLE? WHAT’S LIKELY CAUSING IT IS THE SEAT-BACK FABRIC RUBBING AGAINST THE FOAM PAD UNDERNEATH. THIS NOISE ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE SEAT GETS HOT (THE SEAT TEMPERATURE IS OVER 104° F). WE’RE AWARE OF THIS CONCERN AND WE’RE CURRENTLY WORKING ON A SOLUTION, SO, AT THIS TIME THERE’S NO PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT AVAILABLE. UNTIL THERE IS, DON’T TRY REPLACING THE SEAT FRAME OR THE SEAT-BACK PAD. YOU WON’T GET RID OF THIS NOISE AND YOU JUST MIGHT WIND UP WITH A COME-BACK."

We’re aware of this concern and we’re currently working on a solution, so, at this time, there’s no product improvement available. Until there is, don’t try replacing the seat frame or the seat-back pad. You won’t get rid of this noise and you just might wind up with a come-back. Be sure to pass this info along to the service advisor so he or she can inform your customer of the situation.
