THIS ADVISORY 15-237 INVOLVES UNITS MANUFACTURED WITH ATWOOD GAS ONLY MODEL G6A-8E WATER HEATERS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 7/17/15 & 8/24/15 THAT CAN MALFUNCTION CAUSING THE APPLIANCE TO GO INTO A PERMANENT LOCK OUT CONDITION WHICH RENDERS THE APPLIANCE INOPERABLE. THE MALFUNCTION CAN OCCUR UPON THE SECOND REHEAT CYCLE FROM A COLD START. THIS ADVISORY EXPLAINS HOW TO CORRECT THE LOCK OUT CONDITION.
