SITUATION: A STEERING WHEEL SHIMMY MAY BE EVIDENT DURING THE PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION (PDI) ROAD TEST DUE TO TEMPORARY FLAT SPOTS ON THE ROLLING SURFACE OF THE TIRE. CAUSE: TEMPORARY FLAT SPOTS NATURALLY DEVELOP ON THE ROLLING SURFACE OF A TIRE WHEN THE WHEELS OF THE VEHICLE ARE STATIONARY OVER A PERIOD OF TIME.
