EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1ST, SOA’S INCENTIVE AUDIT DEPARTMENT WILL REINSTATE THE $100 PENALTY FOR EACH INVALID RDR ADDRESS. WE MATCH EACH RDR ADDRESS AGAINST THE DATA BASE PROVIDED BY THE US POSTAL SERVICE. WHEN THERE IS A MISMATCH, WE IDENTIFY THAT VIN ADDRESS AS INVALID. EACH INVALID ADDRESS MUST BE RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY OR THE DEALERSHIP FACES A $100 PENALTY. IT IS CRITICAL THAT SOA MAINTAINS AN ACCURATE ADDRESS FOR EACH CUSTOMER, ESPECIALLY FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE CAMPAIGN OR RECALL. EACH THURSDAY SOA SENDS AN EMAIL NOTIFICATION TO ANY AND ALL DEALERS WITH AN INVALID ADDRESS. TO RESOLVE, DEALER NEEDS TO GO TO SUBARUNET/REPORTS/DEALER DOCUMENT REQUESTS, SELECT THE VIN IN QUESTION AND ADDRESS APPROPRIATELY. SOMETIMES THE RESOLUTION MAY BE AS SIMPLE AS A SPELLING ERROR.
