AS A RESULT OF CHANGES TO REGULATIONS COVERING THE TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS GOODS DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN SIMPLIFIED. PREVIOUSLY, EACH ITEM ASSIGNED THE PROPER SHIPPING NAME (PSN) OF AIR BAG MODULE, AIR BAG INFLATOR, OR SEAT-BELT PRETENSIONER WAS ASSIGNED AN EX-NUMBER (EXPLOSIVE CLASSIFICATION NUMBER) WHICH WAS REQUIRED TO BE SHOWN ON THE BILL OF LADING ALONG WITHOTHER INFORMATION. AS A RESULT, THE PART NUMBER BEING RETURNED WAS SELECTED FROM A LIST ON THE YRC REVERSE LOGISTICS PORTAL WHEN PROCESSING A RETURN THAT CONTAINED AN ITEM CLASSIFIED AS A DANGEROUS GOOD. THE REVISED REGULATIONS ELIMINATED THE REQUIREMENT TO LIST THE EX-NUMBER ON THE BILL OF LADING.
