SOME 2017 FUSION/MKZ VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 18-AUG-2016 MAY EXHIBIT AN AIR BAG LAMP. CONNECT THE IDS AND CHECK THE RCM FOR DTCS. IF DTC U3000, U2100, U2101, U2300, U0455, U0452, B0080, B141B, B141C, B0054, B140C, B140D, B0057, B140E, AND/OR B140F ARE STORED IN THE RCM, REPROGRAM THE RCM TO THE LATEST LEVEL USING IDS RELEASE 102.03 OR HIGHER. AFTER REPROGRAMING, PERFORM AN AS-BUILT CONFIGURATION OF THE RCM. SELECT NO WHEN ASKED IF YOU WERE SENT HERE BY AN ARTICLE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET WHEN ENTERING MODULE PROGRAMMING TO OBTAIN THE LATEST UPDATES. Some 2017-2018 Fusion/MKZ vehicles built on or before 27-Oct-2017 may exhibit an illuminated airbag lamp and/or SYNC 911 assist not operational message being displayed. Connect the IDS and check the RCM and APIM for DTCs. If any of the following RCM DTCs U3000, U2100, U2101, U2300, U0455, B0080, B141B, B141C, B0054, B140C, B140D, B0057, B140E, B140F and/or APIM DTC U0452 is stored, then reprogram the RCM to the latest level using IDS or FJDS 107.04 or higher. After reprograming, perform an as-built configuration of the RCM. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. For claiming, use causal part 14B321 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the service labor time standards (SLTS) manual.
