PITSTOP: PAINT PEELING CONCERN ON CENTER CONSOLE - WHEN ADDRESSING CUSTOMER CONCERNS REGARDING PAINT PEELING OR CRACKING ON THE CENTER CONSOLE, IN THE AREA ADJACENT TO THE SHIFTER, INSPECT THE DAMAGE CAREFULLY TO MAKE SURE IT WAS NOT CAUSED BY AN AIR FRESHENER HANGING FROM THE SHIFTER (A). IT IS COMMON PRACTICE FOR CUSTOMERS TO HANG AIR FRESHENERS FROM THE SHIFTER AND, OVER TIME, THE INTERACTION WITH THE CHEMICALS IN THE AIR FRESHENER MAY CAUSE DETERIORATION IN THE PAINT ON THE CONSOLE AND RESULT IN THE DAMAGE PATTERN SHOWN BELOW (B).
