PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR INSTALLING A CHECK VALVE IN THE TRANSMISSION COOLING CIRCUIT ON CERTAIN CT660 TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH CX31 TRANSMISSIONS \- A UNIQUE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS MUST TAKE PLACE IN ORDER FOR A NUISANCE HESITATION TO BE EXPERIENCED. THE HESITATION GENERALLY OCCURS ON THE FIRST SHIFT AFTER THE TRUCK HAS BEEN SHUT OFF FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. THE CT660 EQUIPPED WITH CX31 RANSMISSION HESITATES FOR UP TO TEN SECONDS WHEN SHIFTING FROM NEUTRAL TO 1ST GEAR ON START\-UP DUE TO OIL DRAINAGE IN THE SYSTEM. CONDUCT REWORK PROCEDURE.
