SERVICE ACTION: INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE PEELING (SA203) - THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES THE PROCEDURE TO INSPECT OR REPLACE THE INSIDE CHROME DOOR HANDLE(S) ON SOME 2011MY SORENTO (XMA) VEHICLES, PRODUCED FROM JULY, 2010 THROUGH FEBRUARY, 2011 WHICH MAY EXPERIENCE CHROME TRIM PEELING ON THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE(S). FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE IN THIS BULLETIN TO INSPECT THE APPEARANCE OF THE CHROME DOOR HANDLE(S) AND, IF NECESSARY, TO REPLACE ANY AFFECTED DOOR HANDLE(S). TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, KIA IS REQUESTING THE COMPLETION OF THIS SERVICE ACTION ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES AS THEY COME IN FOR NORMAL SERVICE/MAINTENANCE. BEFORE CONDUCTING THE PROCEDURE, VERIFY THE VEHICLE IS INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF AFFECTED VINS.

CS2312_OWNR	2026-01-05. Other. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN: OWNER NOTIFICATION (CS2312) - This document is the owner notification advising that Kia is conducting Customer Satisfaction Campaign. A software upgrade that addresses the social media theft method has been made available to owners of eligible Kia model vehicles free of charge at authorized Kia dealers since 2023. In addition to the anti-theft software, a new zinc-reinforced ignition cylinder protector hardware upgrade has been developed and can be installed at the ignition cylinder location to provide additional protection against the social media theft method. Because the subject Kia vehicles were not factory-equipped with an engine immobilizer and were previously eligible for the software upgrade, these vehicles are eligible until March 31, 2027, to have the ignition cylinder protector installed—if requested—at no cost through an authorized Kia dealership. (Mailing of these notifications to vehicle owners will be completed from December 17, 2025 through February 27, 2026)

The SST comes pre-calibrated from the supplier however, in some cases, due to variable shop compressor air pressure, the SST may need to be re-calibrated to ensure that the tool provides accurate readings when testing the engine rod bearing wear. The calibration and BCT measuring point maintenance is included in this bulletin.
