THIS TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN DESCRIBES THE VERIFICATION AND RESOLUTION OF FAULT CODE 4585 BECOMING ACTIVE AFTER A CALIBRATION OF THE ENGINE'S ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECM\). THIS IS CAUSED BY THE ENGINE NOT HAVING A COMPATIBLE AFTERTREATMENT SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION \(SCR\) TEMPERATURE SENSOR MODULE. IN THIS POPULATION OF ENGINES, A NEW SCR TEMPERATURE SENSOR MODULE MUST BE INSTALLED TO CLEAR AN ACTIVE FAULT CODE 4585.
