THIS TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN PROVIDES INFORMATION ON THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION \(EGR\) COOLER MOLDED HOSE, PART NUMBER 5258626. IN CERTAIN OPERATING CONDITIONS, FATIGUE AND/OR TWIST CONDITIONS CAN CAUSE THIS EGR COOLER SUPPLY HOSE TO DEVELOP A CRACK OR SPLIT, RESULTING IN AN EXTERNAL COOLANT LEAK. DURING INSTALLATION OF THIS HOSE, MAKE SURE THAT IT IS NOT TWISTED. IN ADDITION, INSTALLATION OF THE COOLANT THERMOSTAT PART NUMBER 5274349, WILL REDUCE CONDITIONS WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO HOSE FATIQUE AND SUBSEQUENT CRACKING.
