THIS PRELIMINARY INFORMATION COMMUNICATION PROVIDES INFORMATION TO THE TECHNICIAN ABOUT VEHICLES WITH A RATTLE NOISE FROM ENGINE AREA WHILE DRIVING. TECHNICIAN WILL NEED TO CHECK THE TORQUE ON TURBOCHARGER MOUNTING BOLTS. IF THE TURBOCHARGER TORQUE IS CORRECT AND APPLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO THE WASTEGATE ROD USING A SUITABLE TOOL WHILE THE CONDITION IS PRESENT CORRECTS THE CONCERN, DO NOT REPLACE ANY COMPONENTS AT THIS TIME AS GENERAL MOTORS POWERTRAIN IS AWARE OF THIS CONDITION AND REVIEWING OPTIONS.
