## NHTSA's summary

ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECM\), REPROGRAMMING. CERTAIN MACK MRU TRUCKS BUILT FROM 01/01/2016 TO 07/23/2016, AND EQUIPPED WITH A CUMMINS ISL ENGINE MAY EXPERIENCE IMPROPER OPERATION OF THE ENGINE COOLING FAN WHILE THE A/C SYSTEM IS IN OPERATION. REPROGRAMMING OF MULTIPLE CUMMINS ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECM\) PARAMETERS ARE REQUIRED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. FOLLOW THE REPAIR PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THIS PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT \(PI\) TO REPROGRAM THE PARAMETER SETTINGS IN THE ECM.
