Service bulletin XHG0IE1OPU8

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

.WEBDCS: CADEX Battery Claims - Update There are a high number of CADEX battery claims returning due to invalid battery test codes. With the new CADEX test codes, some of the characters are very similar. It might be difficult to distinguish between a 1 and I or 0 and O. To help differentiate these characters, here’s an example of a test code print out with all the difficult characters on the same line. This test code is XHG0IE1OPU8. The forth character is a zero, which has a slash through the number. The fifth character is the letter I. The seventh character is the number one and the eighth character is the letter O, which does not have a slash through it.
