Service bulletin 16-01-016
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR COVER REPLACEMENT (RECALL CAMPAIGN 140) Description: The subject vehicles are equipped with a windshield wiper motor which may have been manufactured with a cover seal that could degrade over time, eventually causing corrosion on the wiper motor’s printed circuit board. If the corrosion progresses, the windshield wiper motor could either function intermittently or stop functioning. If the windshield wipers become inoperative during inclement weather, driver visibility could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

| 24-BD-001H | 2024-03-05. Service bulletin. This bulletin contains information about the proper removal of the windshield wiper blade protective cover on all models. If the protective cover is not removed correctly, there is a possibility of the rubber insert and rail spring becoming partially separated on the inner side of the wiper blade, which could lead to poor wiping performance and/or possible scratching of the windshield glass. Follow the procedure in this bulletin to properly remove the windshield wiper blade protective cover on all new wiper blades. |
