NHTSA's summary
Freightliner Argosy and Coronado Axle Tower Brackets. Certain vehicles may have an incorrect transverse torque rod tower bracket installed on the rearmost drive axle. An incorrect axle tower bracket results in poor alignment of the transverse torque rod and premature failures of the transverse rod tapered pin and/or bushing. The axle tower bracket on the rearmost drive axle and the transverse torque rod will be replaced.

The rear suspension bogie crossmember gussets to the C-channel will be assembled with 5/8 - 18 fasteners. This change includes a revision to a higher friction nut that requires an increase in tightening torque. The new higher friction nut can be identified by its green color. |
